Wet blocking

When knitting it's natural to pick up the basics of knitting and put them into the vast storage of knowledge which we call the brain. Greedy little entrepreneur and creative genius that I am, just shy of my 4th year of knitting, I begin to make my own designs. The first idea which pricks me is a bow tie.

I make it out of silk/wool blend, fine, making a paper pattern to follow. Everything is going well, I'm to the neck, but the fabric is curling the hell out of my project (if that's possible).

So I'm looking online and I see "wet blocking."

And I think... this is my salvation. So I'm anticipating the end of my project, where I wash and then pin down the bow tie and after some light ironing, it accedes to the proper shape.
